Senior Center Recreation Manager
"The Mentor Senior Center was thrilled to participate in the Mind Challenge again this year. It was great to see the addition of so many additional cities and teams which made the competition top notch. We were delighted to host the first two rounds of the event and enjoyed the sea of orange shirts during the competition. The pandemic changed the original game plan, but Art, Phil and Lana persevered and creatively offered virtual competition. Congrats to the tough as nails Mentor team that pulled out the win for the second year in a row. It was wonderful to have a fun event, that keeps the mind sharp and gave our seniors something to do and something to look forward to during the pandemic. We are looking very forward to year 3."

Director, Human Services
"I would like to thank everyone who initiated Mind Challenge and taking the time to make it happen virtually during COVID-19.
This activity has become a new and regular program at our senior center! The team had a lot of fun and made new friends along the way.
It not only brought a new group of people together, many seniors also became involved by cheering us on. Everyone loves it. Brain exercise is just as important as physical exercise. Thank you for something EXCITING AND NEW!"
"Thank you all so much- what a great opportunity this was for our seniors to stay engaged throughout this pandemic!"
Thank you for the kind note and for all that you and Phil are doing for our area seniors!
"Thanks for the opportunity. We sure had fun. As loyal Browns fans from Avon Lake, we’re already pumped for next year!
See you in January,"
"Mentor! Oh well. Our people had a great time with it and can’t wait to go again! Thank you and your crew for all you do and for working your butt s off to make it work amidst the Corona. I still want to do a center directors competition ;-)
"I am SO proud of them! We talked a lot to get them ready to do the FB Live version of the game. Thanks for all you did to keep the game moving forward. I know you had to make tough decisions and the format was not ideal...but it worked! We will be back next year!!"
Amy Jenkins OOA Supervisor 4th PLACE WINNER "Thanks again for all your work and for putting on a great program. Looking forward to next year!!"
The Rocky River - Leroux team would like to thank you for not only all of the work that went into the tournament and we appreciate it! We are looking forward to the tournament next Tuesday."
"I just checked out the score on Facebook. Each year we get stronger and more seniors are becoming aware of this Mind Challenge Trivia game. I look forward to this challenge again next year."
"Thanks to the 3 of you! You pulled it off. I was able to watch for a short time – and then was on a call with 3 others Directors who were talking about it and hoping for wins – keeping that goal of feeling part a larger community. Wish I could say – Go Solon
Congrats! If we couldn’t be in the finals – I am pleased to see the money winners. Looking forward to seeing both of you in-person too."
Thank you for the update.
Mind Challenge continues! We plan to participate next year.
Have a great day!"
"Thank you for all of your efforts and providing an opportunity for fun in this challenging time in our world. Rick and Steve enjoyed playing. I hope all goes well in the next go around."
TO ALL THE GREAT MINDS:
"We enjoyed participating in the challenge. Had a good time meeting and using our brain!!! Looking forward to 2021 and MAYBE BEING NORMAL. Keep up the good work and enjoy having FUN.
"Thanks so much for your kind words! We had a blast participating even though we did not win. If you do it again next year we are all in again and I think we will have even more participation. I commend you all for your efforts in this trying time. I know it could not have been easy to do it remotely but you all met the challenges so well! I really felt for you Lana yesterday but thought you handled it so gracefully. Seniors and technology are tricky.I will certainly keep all the vendors in mind and hopefully once we open again I can have some of them come in to speak. Can I ask who ended up winning for the Rocky River group? We will be cheering for them in the finals next week!
Thanks again for everything,
