As we did last year my team from Avon Lake came up a little short in the standings but came out way ahead on fun. You two, with Lana, sure know how to put on a show! Our “transfer team made it to the Fact Finding Four!” Regardless, thanks for the opportunity to participate, and once again, as only a true Cleveland fan can say, wait until next year.

Congrats!! You pulled it out with a lot of extra sweat - not from your own doing.

Is it possible that next year Solon could place? Any chance of sending someone good our way?

Hoping for a simple year with lots of support in 2022. See you soon,

The Mind Challenge Trivia contest was a fabulous testing of our knowledge. Art, Phil and

Lana kept the activity flowing-keeping it fun and personable. Inspired seniors refreshed

Their memories, getting interest to research other topics when subjects are addressed

Thank you- it was most enjoyable!

“Mind Challenge has truly been a fun event for the seniors of Warrensville Heights.  It allows for our seniors to fellowship and stay sharp in a safe environment.  Our seniors were so excited about the trivia games, we have started our own Trivia Challenge Club.  Our sincere thanks to the Ohio Lotto and all of the sponsors for continuing the Mind Challenge Game for the seniors throughout northeast Ohio.” - Have a great day!

Thank you once again for allowing the Brook Park seniors club to  participate in the 2021 mind challenge.  It was our pleasure to host our first and second rounds of eliminations.

We were pleased to welcome teams from

Parma & Seven Hills.  Meeting other seniors was a lot of fun!!! Our goal coming in was to do better than last year and we did  !!!

This past year has been a challenge in itself. The aspect of a healthy mind is to keep active. Reading, puzzle solving and game shows have helped us to prepare for this event.

We’re looking forward to next year’s mind challenge.    May 9, 2022

Thanks to the two of you for putting this together and Lana’s great showmanship and variation of topics and difficulty.

From our Brook Park senior club- Enjoy health & happiness in the rest of 2021!!

If you haven't heard the "buzz" about The Mind Challenge, I'd

highly recommend checking it out.   This is a fun and easy way

to get those brain cells into high gear while engaging in some

friendly competition with other local Senior Centers.  The 2021

yearly event has just closed with an exciting finale of the Final

Four teams competing for their sponsoring Centers. It was an

honor to be a member of one of those Teams this year, as there

are many bright players who were all vying for that coveted spot

as the Champions.  The teams were friendly and spirited, and the

Centers were welcoming and gracious to us during our weekly games.

We now are eager for the 2022 games to begin!  Please check it out

if you are looking for a fun way to share your knowledge of ALL

those facts and info you have stored away over the years, and to meet

others with that same interest.  Our Team did, and we're glad to have

done so!  Thank you, Avon Lake, for allowing us to represent you.

It was a pleasure to meet you both today at the presentation of the trophy and the $500 check for Avon Lake’s 4th place finish in the Mind Challenge competition held this summer. The folks who participated in the event were very excited about their achievement which speaks volumes about the merits of the program.  The number of seniors is growing every year and it is important that activities for seniors be provided by cities just as they are provided to the youth of our community. Mental exercises are just as important as physical activities for our seniors as both lead to better mental health and a longer and more satisfying life.  We are proud to have had our residents participate in the Mind Challenge for the New Majority.  We applaud you and the sponsors for making an investment in our seniors.

I carefully read the draft of the letter and it seems to catch the essence of your fine program.  Good luck!

Folks - I participated in the recently completed 2021 Mind Challenge and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. It stimulated my brain and introduced me to some lovely fellow senior citizens. I encourage others to give this trivia challenge a try when it is offered again. Thanks to those folks making this possible!

The City of Willoughby Hills thanks the Mind Challenge staff and the sponsors, who introduced us to

trivia competition.  We are happy to have the opportunity to win prize money that will help make our

Senior Center better and more vibrant for our seniors.  The City looks forward to building on our

experience by offering Trivia Nights at the Community Center in the future.  I enjoyed collaborating with

my teammates and thought it was a great way to meet new people.

Phil and Art.  I have enjoyed working with you both and appreciate all your effort and commitment to the Mind Challenge program. It shows in the way the program continues to grow. I wish you all good things.

Andy Gardner, Mayor-Willoughby Hills

The City of Willoughby Hills was so grateful for the opportunity to participate.  Personally, it was a great way to meet and get to know more wonderful Willoughby Hills residents.  The Mind Challenge staff did an outstanding job to make it entertaining and educational, while offering the element of socialization, which is so critical in today’s society.  The City of Willoughby Hills looks forward to more teams joining the fun in 2022

and the winner is . . .broadview heights!!!

Amy Jo Washabaugh Human Services Director of Broadview Hts and Steve Paciorek  Director of Brecksville Human Services donate the $ 2,500.00 check to Yuletide Hunger which is an organization that helps those in need during the holiday season. The  team from Broadview Hts. chose this charity as the recipient of their First Prize winnings.

Congratulations to our winners and to all the teams that played and made the 2021 Mind Challenge Trivia such a huge success!!
